Slow Food

Slow down, you move to fast.

Anne Elliot is the driving force behind ‘slow food’ in the Blue Mountains.
The slow food movement was born in 1989 by Italian Carlo Petrini, as a response to increasingly industrialised food. It’s now a global movement, with thousands of members. It’s all about taste, education and protecting tradition.

The goal for the Blue Mountains is to have a kitchen garden in every home, so that in the next five years, every resident will have access to home-grown fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs.

To get to the Blue Mountains, Jestar flies to Sydney from 14 cities across Australia. From there, it's about a two hour drive to escape the hustle and bustle and just . . .  relax.
