If this was France, according to the temperature and sunshine, Paul would be somewhere between Burgundy and Bordeaux.

The Bellarine's climate is very similar, which makes it an excellent place to grow the six varieties of grapes at Bellarine Estate.

Every year, the grapes yield eight tonnes of juice, which makes 84,000 bottles of wine. To think, Peter Kennedy gave up selling Parking ticket machines for this!

Peter's wines have won a swag of awards, but he's not resting on his laurels.

Recently, they've started making beer. And not just any beer. Brewer Steven Nelson, one of Paul's old mates, is making Mussel Stout.

He's cooking two kilos of mussels in with the brewing vats. It gives the stout a unique taste, that's for sure.
