If you really want to trip through the heart of Australia in style then The Ghan is a great way to go.

Bradley Kerkman is the gourmet in charge of menus on The Ghan and Indian Pacific railways. The Ghan's chefs create some mighty big meals in an incredbly cramped space.

He and Paul cooked some mouthwatering meals for patrons, and the camel satay was a hit. We're hoping it becomes a permanent fixture on the menu.

Rail travel is all about enjoying the journey, so Bradley makes sure customers get delicious meals to make it a memorable trip.

The Ghan is a two night trip connecting Darwin to Adelaide, via Alice Springs and travels twice weekly in both directions. Choose from a cabin or daynighter sleeper. For an extra fee you can also take the car.
